In order to reduce energy consumption for lighting and adjust the level and quality of lighting in all its factory areas, Gestamp Aveiro, a company that manufactures metal components for the car industry, has relied on the experience of ETAP and on the efficiency of its lighting equipment in the refurbishment and modernisation of its manufacturing facilities.
The substitution of 400W mercury vapor lamps by E52 industrial luminaires with 80W lamps and daylight control (ELS) enables a warehouse to reduce the energy consumed by about 70%, with an increase in the average level of lighting and a depreciation of the investment in less than 2 years. As a result of the savings achieved, Gestamp Aveiro has been made a GreenLight Partner by the European Commission, rewarding a commitment to reducing energy consumption for lighting and consequently reduce CO2 emissions.
In other areas, like workshops, laboratories, offices and the canteen, it’s not only the technical elements that have been addressed, but also the aesthetics, making the workplace much more comfortable and pleasant.
